Terms & Conditions


Agreement - It is part of our Policies and Procedures to request that you accept our Terms and Conditions when you enrol yourself or child/ren with Buttercross Theatre Productions, to be known as BTP for the remainder of these Terms and Conditions and sign your agreement to them as an ongoing agreement between you and BTP. The Agreement is made between you, or the parent/guardian for each enrolled student as, you and/or a Parent and (BTP. The agreement will remain valid at all times while the Student is enrolled on BTP activities and until such time as written notice is given in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

Changes - BTP reserves the right to make changes in the event of illness or circumstances beyond our control, these include: Workshops, Performances, Activities, Teaching Staff. We will notify you as soon as possible by email, text to your allocated contact number, via our social media page. 

Changes to the Agreement - We reserve the right to make changes to this agreement, we will notify you of any changes in advance.

Code of Conduct - BTP reserves the right to remove students from any of our workshops/performances/activities, without refund, anyone who is found to be threatening, intimidating, bullying towards another student, misbehaving, displaying disruptive behaviour, under the influence of drugs/alcohol, (the list is not exhaustive.)

Consent for Photography & Filming - There will be times when we would like to take photographs and film students for our productions, classes and publicity. Photography and filming will only be used for students to see themselves in action and for marketing and publicity. We will select photos for use on our website and social media pages. You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use and keep us up to date should this change by either email: hello@buttercrosstheatreproductions.co.uk or calling us on: 07956784070.

Contact Details - It is your responsibility to keep BTP up to date with any changes to your contact details. If we cannot make contact with you regarding any changes, we cannot be held responsible.

Enrolment - Your enrolment is not confirmed until payment has been received. Paid for places will be given priority.

GDPR (Data Protection/Privacy Notice) - Under GDPR Data Protection Regulations, we will only retain information that is needed to keep our students safe. We will never issue any information held to a 3rd Party. See our Privacy Notice for further details.

Loss & Injuries - BTP, or any of their staff, are not responsible for any loss of belongings or injury during the class.

Medical Conditions - You must declare all medical conditions during enrolment and keep us up to date should this change by either email: hello@buttercrosstheatreproductions.co.uk or calling us on: 07956784070.

Payments - Payments can be accepted by Bank Transfer, SumUp Online Link, through our Booking System Class4Kids or by Cash. Payment must be made at least 2 weeks before the beginning of each term. Please note, if booking through our Class4Kids booking system or SumUp Online LInk, there will be an extra charge for this facility.

Refunds & Cancelling sessions - There maybe occasions where we have to make a change to the venue, workshops times. We will only do this if it is necessary and will do our best to keep everything running as smoothly as possible but unfortunately this cannot always be guaranteed. In the event we have to make one of these changes, BTP will make every effort to offer a make-up session, in the event we are unable to offer a different date, time and/or venue we will issue a refund. BTP reserves the right to cancel sessions due to bad weather in order to keep everyone safe. BTP will make every effort to offer a make-up session, in the event we are unable to offer a different date, time and/or venue we will issue a refund. 

Refunds for other reasons - Payment will be returned if a class has to be cancelled due to minimum numbers not being achieved.

Safeguarding - Should a disclosure be made by a student that is deemed an emergency situation we reserve the right to contact the relevant external parties. Should we witness a safeguarding issue within any of the sessions, we reserve the right to immediately suspend and remove a student and start an investigation process. A student will remain suspended until the investigation is complete and a decision made as to whether the student can return to sessions. If the outcome finds that the student is deemed a danger to other students/teaching staff, the student will be excluded and no refund will be made. We will endeavour to immediately investigate and come to a quick decision.

Sickness - In light of the Covid pandemic, please do not attend the session if you and/or your child/ren are showing signs of covid or has been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with covid. We would also request that you and/or your child/ren do not attend within 48 hours of the class if they have had any form of illness. In the event that your child/ren is unable to attend their workshop, due to sickness, holiday or a decision made by you and/or the parent or your child/ren, not to attend, BTP regrets that we are unable to give any refund of fees.

Termination Notice - If you and/or your child/ren do not wish to continue with your sessions, you are required give us at least a half term's notice. Once a term has been paid for, no refund will be given if you, your child/ren decide not to participate any further.
